Get the word out! Help Brett Walls get the care he deserves!
IF YOU DO ANYTHING TODAY… PLEASE READ.
I am begging anyone who has a few moments to read the below status update (taken from Facebook) from the wife of Brett Walls. I worked at Trio during my college years and Brett was like a father to us hostesses. #UnitedHealthCare is doing a disgusting thing in denying Brett the care he deserves and needs. If you have 5 minutes please tweet or post to their page and tell them they need to change their ways.
He is currently getting treatment at one of the BEST facilities in the country and UHC is now cutting his care.

“I’m sorry but I simply must continue to flood my walls with pleas. I hope and pray that my voice will be heard. Things have to change, for all of us are at risk. This is the post I just put on UnitedHealthCare FB page:
UHC is denying the full 60 days of rehab that my husband Philip Brett Walls is entitled to, a benefit in his plan, one that an external review board deemed that Brett required was entitled to. But UHC won’t call it a "denial” because they know I would then start the appeal process. instead they hope to shut me down and leave me no recourse by carefully choose their words. They are stating that it’s a doctor directed decision based on assessments. Assessments I might add, that show amazing progress for a patient with the Locked-in syndrome diagnosis. Brett’s doctor is fighting for his full 60 days, not calling UHC informing UHC that Brett is ready to go home. UHC has decided brett does not meet their “criteria”. A loosely defined word that is easily manipulated in order to suit UHC’s greed.#unitedHealthcare’s motivation is greed, not recovery.“
